Adam Berry is a Derbyshire born English historian now residing in Leicestershire, UK. Born into a family with close ties to both World Wars and the Korean war, Adam has always had an interest in military history that was further intensified by a love for war-birds and the release of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers. Having moved to Leicestershire at the age of eight, Adam soon began to hear stories of the 82nd Airborne Division being camped locally as they prepared for D-Day and Operation Market Garden, and began to research this for himself. The result of nearly fifteen years of research was the release of And Suddenly They Were Gone, a detailed history on the Divisions time spent in England. This was preceeded slightly by the release of My Clear Conscience, the biography of 82nd Airborne Division veteran, George Shenkle.
Outside of a love for history, Adam is the Managing Director of a family run company specialising in the development of security software. He is married to Sophie with two young daughters, Evelyn and Maisie.
It is his desire to complete the three volumes of this series, and to continue to look at the history of US Forces in England in WWII, with other projects in mind. Adam continues to dedicate his work in Military History to his Grandfather, Gerald Berry, who died before his birth. Gerald was a member of the Royal Artillery and fought with distinction in Korea.
